Our monthly costs for servers and regular back-ups of the entire website have increased, partly due to inflation in general, and partly due to our growth. Our growing Locations Database takes more and more server space every year. More subscribers means many more log-ins, and that means greatly increased bandwidth charges.
Making our app available to you has also been an expensive proposition. In addition to the cost of developing the app for both iOS and Android devices, there are fees to list the app at the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. Contrary to popular belief, they don’t let us list our app there for free. When someone subscribes at the App Store, their service charge for the transaction is more than seven times the amount that PayPal charges us for a similar transaction. A portion of our website is also built using WordPress, and there are fees for that service and backups there as well.
In 2019 we’ve taken on additional staff to help keep up with maintenance on our Locations Database, because it keeps growing.
Therefore, OvernightRVParking.com is increasing our annual subscription price, effective Feb 1, 2020. As of 12:01 AM on February 1, all new and renewal subscriptions will be $29.99 per year.
How to beat the rate increase
Whether you’re already a OvernightRVParking.com subscriber, or you’re considering subscribing, we want to give you the opportunity to beat the rate increase. From now through January 31, 2020, you may purchase your new or renewal OvernightRVParking.com subscription at the current rate of $24.95. If you’re renewing, paying for a renewal will add a full year to your existing active subscription, regardless of when your renewal date is. For example, if your current renewal date is September 15, 2020, renewing for a year would extend it to September 15, 2021.
Beat the rate increase for more than one year
If you want to lock in our current subscription rate for more than one additional year, you may renew your subscription for as many additional years as you like, at the current rate. Each time you do this, from now until January 31, 2020, it will be at the current rate of $24.95, and it will add another full year to your subscription.
